Wilde Supports WPT’s New “Vietnam War” Series

We are proud to announce our sponsorship of Wisconsin Public Television (WPT)’s “Vietnam War Series.”

Between August 30th and September 17th, WPT is holding five free preview screenings of a new film, “The Vietnam War,” throughout the state of Wisconsin. As a result, Wilde is proud to be the lone sponsor of these screenings, aiming to support and increase awareness for veterans.

The film, by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, is a ten-part 18-hour documentary series about the controversial events of the Vietnam War. In essence, the film incorporates the testimonies of nearly 80 witnesses.

Premiering on Sunday, September 17th at 7 PM, “The Vietnam War” is a rare, epic story of the war.

Free Preview Screenings

Ahead of its premiere, WPT is holding five public screenings across Wisconsin. Appropriately, the first of these five is in the state capitol city, at Monona Terrace, on August 30th. These screenings are free and open to the public.

Each screening will show a 60-minute preview of the documentary. Also, the exhibit “Wisconsin Remembers: A Face for Every Name” will accompany the screening. After the preview, local veterans will engage in a panel discussion to share their experiences and reflect on the preview.
