Position: Sales and Leasing Consultant
Reports To: Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager and Pre-Owned Vehicle Assistant Manager

JOB SUMMARY: Sells pre-owned vehicles while achieving and maintaining appropriate levels of gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Satisfies the transportation needs of pre-owned-vehicle purchasers.
  • Approaches, greets, and offers assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
  • Assists customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their
  • responses. Suggests alternative vehicles if necessary.
  • Understands the terminology of the automobile business and keeps abreast of changes in product technology, incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc.
  • Provides thorough product information and demonstration to all prospects.
  • Offers test drives to all prospects. Follows dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer before test drive begins and verify current info.
  • Exhibits a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Utilizes dealership sales control and follow-up system.
  • Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws which govern retailauto sales.

Position:Express Service Advisor
Reports To: Service Manager
Department: Service

JOB SUMMARY: Greet customers, listen to their description of the problems or service needed, determine the type of service required and prepare express lube type repair order. If a vehicle requires additional repairs not covered in the original order, they estimate the additional cost and telephone the customer for permission to do the work. For more complicated repairs will transfer the job to a full Service Advisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Advises customers about necessary service for routine maintenance.
  • Helps identify a mechanical problem by questioning the customer or doing a visual inspection or road test.
  • Confers with customers about inspection results, recommend corrective procedures and prepare work order for needed repairs.
  • Prepares a repair order showing time, cost and labor estimates for service.
  • Writes a brief description of the customer’s concern on the repair order to help the technician locate the problem.
  • Explains the work performed and the repair order charges to the customer.
  • Handles customer complaints.
  • Schedules service appointments. Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
  • Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
  • Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturer’s’ specifications.
  • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
  • Establishes “promised time.” Checks with dispatcher, if necessary.
  • Obtains customer’s signature on repair order; provides customer with copy.
  • Notifies dispatcher of incoming work.
  • Implements and maintains a service marketing program.
  • Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction standards.
  • Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Keeps work area clean.

Position: Service Technician

JOB SUMMARY: Functions as a skilled-level technician who is able to perform diagnoses and repairs in all areas, in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair. Inspects and services new or used vehicles when they are at the dealerships and makes repairs or adjustments to ensure the salable condition of the vehicles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
  • Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
  • Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
  • Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
  • Road tests vehicles when required.
  • Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
  • Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
  • Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.

Position: Porter

JOB SUMMARY: To do full, interior and exterior detailing of all vehicles where and when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Check with your supervisor continuously throughout your shift for specific tasks.
  • Full auto detailing:
    • Paint care, washing and drying the vehicle before using the clay bar, then polish and wax.
    • Chassis and Wheels, being dressed in protectant so no cracking.
    • Headlights, Taillights and Exterior Trim, sealing after polishing, dressing with protectant.
    • Interior Detailing, Shampooing/Steam Cleaning carpets and seating surfaces, leather conditioned and cleaned, windows washed and cleaned.

State motor vehicle driver license.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/EXPECTATIONS:

  • Arrive to work at scheduled time and punch in.
  • Lot speed limit is 10 mph.
  • Friends outside of work are not to visit you at Wilde East Towne Honda.
  • Reckless driving will not be tolerated.
  • At no time may a New or Used vehicle be driven off the lot without the consent of Wilde East Towne Honda Management.
  • A uniform must be worn with shirt tucked in.
  • No personal phone calls or texting during working hours.
  • Vehicle or property damage must be reported immediately.
  • Evening, holiday and weekend hours may be required.
  • Will stand and move throughout the dealership facility.

Position: Receptionist
Reports To: Office Manager
Department: Office Staff

JOB SUMMARY: Receives customers at the dealership, determines the nature of their business, and directs customers to their destination. Answers basic inquiries, routes incoming calls, takes messages and provides basic information to all customers and employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Greets showroom customers and determines the nature of their visit.
  • Directs customers to the correct department, notifies the appropriate person that a customer is waiting and introduces the customer to a salesperson.
  • Answers incoming phone calls. Directs caller to appropriate department or individual or takes a thorough message.
  • Communicates with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Enters data into CRM system.
  • Communicates messages to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
  • Types memos, correspondence, reports and other documents.
  • Assists service customers during the morning and evening service rush whenever possible.
  • Assists with clerical duties as requested.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
