Wilde East Towne Honda Community Involvement

We place special emphasis on supporting military veterans causes and education initiatives, but are always looking for new ways to give back and support the community we serve! The following are some of the many ways we support our community:

Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce – As a member of the Chamber of Commerce, we support a wide range of local organizations and businesses. Every year, we give away more than $5000 worth of gift certificates and sponsorship gifts to businesses in the Sun Prairie-Madison area.

Sun Prairie Schools – At Wilde, we take pride in our schools and serve them through the Sun Prairie Business-Education Partnership (BEP). We regularly participate in student recognition programs, in addition to the Reality Rocks Program and G.R.I.T. Many of our own employees come right from the high school, through the Youth Apprentice Program.

Supporting Veterans’ Causes – We place an emphasis on supporting the men and women who have served our country. On Memorial Day, we feature displays to remember three fallen service men close to our hearts.

in addition, Team Hidalgo/Warner hosts a charity golf outing in July. Proceeds go to support the Richard D. Warner Memorial Fund, Daren M. Hidalgo Memorial Fund and Fisher House Wisconsin, which provides a “home away from home” for military and veteran families to be close to a loved one when hospitalized at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Sun Prairie Media Center – We donated the use of a 2015 Honda Odyssey to the Sun Prairie Media Center, giving them a safe and reliable vehicle so they can continue to serve their purpose. As a nonprofit, the Sun Prairie Media Center is the organization that houses two cable access stations, KIDS-4 and KSUN.

Safe Kids Madison Area – Safe Kids Madison provides families with information and services that help keep children safe and healthy. We proudly refer our customers to Safe Kids for car seat installations and information.

Community Events – From Corn Fest to Brat Fest, we are thrilled to contribute to the local events that better the community. We are regular donors to local events, and we frequently send our team members out to volunteer for the events.

During the national Team Honda Week of Service, Wilde employees serve a variety of causes in the area. We’ve helped clean up Angell Park, served food at the River Food Pantry, and participated in the Colonial Club’s StrawberryFest 5K Run/Walk.
