Guinness Irish Beef Stew

Get your family in the Saint Patrick’s Day mood with this delicious and warm, slow cooker, Guinness Beef Stew. While the list of ingredients might be a little longer than most recipes, if you have a slow cooker then you barely have to spend any time at all making this meal! Prep time only takes 10 minutes and then the stew cooks itself for four hours.

Ingredients and Instructions

The list of ingredients is as follows: olive oil, beef, salt, pepper, flour, potatoes, carrots, parsnips, yellow onion, garlic, tomato, beef broth, and Guinness Extra Stout. Prep instructions are as follows: coat the thawed beef with salt, pepper, and flour to taste. Add to a pan heated with olive oil until browned (about 8 minutes). While the beef is browning, add the veggies and potatoes into the slow cooker. After the beef is browned, add it, the beef broth and the Gunniess to the slow cooker. Then, simply cook for 3-4 hours on high or 8 hours on low. You can get the rest of your to-do list done in the meantime!
