About NBC15 Share Your Holidays to eliminate hunger
For 23 years, NBC15 and Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin have joined together and created one of the largest food drives for those struggling with hunger in southwestern Wisconsin. Starting in 1996, with the vision of the late NBC15 News Anchor Mike McKinney, the very first food drive collected enough food and funds to provide 46,000 meals to those in need. That number has risen exponentially to date with this year’s goal set to 4.18 million meals.
